WILLEMSTAD.- GMN officials yesterday seized more than 30 water bottles that were derived from a local Distributor. It was yesterday morning, when GMN officials together with MEO conducted a check at the Kortijn factory. This after a complaint was received by a consumer, who bought a bottle of water and found certain lime-like or insect-like waste.
Immediately, the Consumer approached the authorities and officials, to give attention to their case. At the time when officials showed up at the site for a check, they came across the truth that some bottles of water contained the same waste that the consumer previously showed to the officials.
Information was received on the site, that the water bottles were imported. But since some time past, these bottles had been removed of circulation. Despite this, officials still came across bottles of water inside the factory.
All the bottles were confiscated and they were transferred to the laboratory to be able to analyze them and verify what kind of waste the bottles actually contain and if this can be dangerous for the health of the people and of the community in general.
