WILLEMSTAD.- Based on the negative travel advice issued, the Government of Curaçao urges all persons wishing to travel to Venezuela, to avoid doing so unnecessarily. The maritime and air borders with Aruba, Curaçao and Bonaire are closed. It is not possible to travel by ship or plane from Venezuela to the ABC islands and vice versa.
In Venezuela there are demonstrations that are taking place and that can cause confrontations and violence. The region of Venezuela’s borders with Colombia and Brazil are being very dangerous. This is due to protests, roadblocks, armed groups and criminal networks that are smuggling in the neighborhoods of the mine regions. Moments even of confrontation with the military. Do not travel to the border areas with Colombia and Brazil. Nor to the southern part of Maracaibo Lake that is also dangerous.
