Willemstad, Curaçao – One of the ‘Boka’s’ in National Park Shete Boka has been transformed as part of the planned improvements that are being completed in 2018 for the park. The team of the Carmabi foundation placed a platform in the Boka Tabla Cave.  The grids for the platform have been donated by the BAM Group. Boka Tabla is one of the most popular spots in the National Park.

The Carmabi Foundation, who manages the park, has placed the platform and at the same time arranged for a new handrail for adults and children, making it possible for everyone to visit the spectacular place. When it is not possible to enter the cave because of rough circumstances, there is now a door that closes the entrance of the cave. This enhances the safety of visitors in the park.

In April of this year, the foundation already announced that they had re-opened the road to Boka Pistol after renovation and the placement of a roof for shade. Boka Pistol also is one of the most spectacular and popular hotspots of the island and the park.

Carmabi director Paul Stokkermans informs that there will be continues improvements and renewals to the park, making it a high-ranking park for tourists and tour operators to visit. “By renovating the road to Boka Pistol, placing the roof for shade there and by placing the platform in the Boka Tabla cave, we’ve commenced our improvements for this year. In the coming months we will focus on the informational signs and enhancement of the restaurant in the park. All these activities are being done to make the park even more popular on Curacao and for visitors all over the world!” Says the director.

The entrance of National Park Shete Boka is located at the “Weg naar Westpunt” and is open daily from 9 AM until 5 PM.
