WILLEMSTAD.- “It is a fact that the place where the confiscated drugs should be stored was always a big problem and the government never did anything about it”, according to the President of the labor union, SAP Marco Lacle.

Recently this problem was brought to attention again, but the current Government did not do anything about it and the culmination was the big robbery this last weekend. This comes a top of all the problems that the Corps is currently going thru.

According to Lacle, there are only two people, who can be responsible for this act. They are: Police Chief Mauricio Sambo and Minister of Justice Quincy Girigorie.

“One of the two must give the example and resign, because neither of them has done anything right to guarantee the safety of the agents.”

Lacle continued by indicating that there are many problems, among others the lack of material that the agents require to be able to do their work and the physical states of the police headquarters. This without forgetting the fact that the machinery that is used to destroy the confiscated drug is out of operation, which results in the drug being stored in the police headquarters.”

For the agents that worked so hard to confiscate all this drug, is work in vein. More over a large amount of drugs is now circulating back on the streets.

“We will not tolerated this anymore and we demand an immediate solution,” Lacle ended his declaration.
