WILLEMSTAD.- In the case of Isla Refinery, there’s indeed clarity and transparency so that the people can understand the situation. There is no doubt that this Government is working with the necessary transparency and clarity for the community, to avoid being misinformed by other politicians who seek to deceive and manipulate the people. This is what Ms. Elsa Rozendal from the MAN faction said during the public meeting seeking a strategic partner for Refineria Isla. According to Rozendal, a motion was accepted that the government will periodically come to the parliament to give information on the status of these conversations concerning the Isla Refinery.

It is good to keep this motion so that the Government will go to Parliament in an automatic way and prevent certain politicians from taking out their negative letter and pretending to show that they are the ones who are called to do so. The motion will be made every 3 months.

According to Rozendal, her remark is to lament the “false news” that are at the order of the day in our country. Biased and erroneous news invented by people who do not have self-esteem, or even themselves, or others and less for Curaçao. It is impossible that these people don’t realize the immense damage they cause our people and the country. We can imagine, that the investors decide to stop their investments in Curaçao since they continually receive bad information within the community, that they manipulate and do not speak anything positive. It is understandable that these investors will no longer come to invest in the refinery, which would be a real disaster for our economic and social situation. According to Rozendal, it seems that certain politicians do not care and to quench their thirst they continue to do so. They seek attention continuously, they lie on Facebook, radio, newspapers, television, without forgetting to mention the highest and most important organ of Curaçao, as Parliament is.

‘Each one must know what his limit is, which is good or not and correct in that behavior. If you want a government to be transparent, it’s good to be transparent with yourself primarily. “
