WILLEMSTAD.- Yesterday was the celebration of Christ the King. The Brión square was full of faithful who celebrated this party. One of the most celebrated celebration of the Catholic Church is this, which every year attracts many faithful. This celebration is not only one of the most beautiful, but its complete celebration is something that no Catholic wants to miss.

This year the celebration culminated in Brion Square, where there was a very beautifully decorated altar, served as a podium for the celebration of the Mass officiated by our Bishop Monsignor Seco, assisted by almost all the pastors of Curaçao. The Bishop traveled from Aruba to be present at this celebration and he was very happy that everything had turned out very nice and he also said that he knew that not all the time things were easy for us, but the fact that there are people working in a dedicated way makes the final result something beautiful.

Pastor Raul of the Steenrijk church was in charge of directing the Bishopric choir that, in a very beautiful way, animated the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Pastor Raúl, who by the way is a very good singer, was in charge of directing the choir and it was to be expected that Pastor Morrisón told Pastor Raúl that they will be hiring them again next year. Likewise, Pastor Morrisón on behalf of the Bishopric gave special recognition to 4 people who during the last 25 years have been very useful in celebrating the celebration of Christ the King. The people were: Shirley Martis, Florence Zoetrum, Clara Un and also Mr. Römer. This last-mentioned person was in charge of ensuring that the podium was beautifully decorated so that the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass could be celebrated. The Catholic world of Curaçao appreciates its celebrations of the Christ the King and this is proved by the fact that the Plaza Brión was full of faithful to the point, that there was no space left to stand and / or stand.

The Bishop based his preaching on the importance of the celebration of Christ the King and his desire not to leave this celebration in something of a single day, but in the fact that we can carry this celebration in our lives every day. The love we should give our children and the good example that we should give our children as adults. Did the Bishop tell a beautiful story of a king who asked his people, who is God? None had an answer; In the end a poor man came forward and said: Majesty takes off his King’s clothes and I give him the rags. That God did with us. Jesus put on his humble dress and came to the world to save us. That is why we as people must follow God’s example.

A holy mass sacrifice in the open air that surely the faithful appreciated and were happy to have witnessed. With the exception of the parliamentary Mrs. Seferina, there was no representative of the Government in Plaza Brión. Congratulations to the Bishopric and to all who made this celebration of the celebration of Christ the King, a true success.
